Our client is a major International telecommunications group with operating subsidiaries in Europe, Middle East and Asia. The company is experiencing rapid growth in a number of new markets and a Chief Executive Officer is required to lead an important new business development opportunity in the UK.

The Company

This multi-billion dollar group is a leader in the provision of voice and multi-media broadband wireless services to the B2B and consumer market sectors. The company is experiencing rapid growth in each of its operating divisions and is seeking to strengthen its management team.

The Opportunity

The Chief Executive Officer will provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of a new wireless broadband multi-media service. This will include:

Strategy & Planning – Working with the group strategic planning team to create a robust business plan and go-to-market strategy.
Team building – Recruiting a highly talented and experienced executive management and project team.
Technology – Identifying suitable vendors and best-of-breed technologies.
Marketing/Sales - Creating a comprehensive marketing, communications and sales strategy.

The Candidate

You will currently be a CEO in a medium-sized telecommunications company or Divisional Director/General Manager in a larger group. You are seeking a fresh challenge and looking to further your career by making your mark in a major start-up situation within a leading International Telecommunications Group.

Your Credentials

Successful track record in senior management within a telecoms/IT organisation.
Sound understanding of the wireless multi-media technology industry.
Previous experience in technology start-up situation desirable.
Ability to direct multi-discipline staff and contractors in early stage of development.
Excellent communicator, motivator and business builder.
Engineering Degree essential plus MBA an advantage.
