Our client is a leading International Bank with over 1,000 employees based in the city of London. The CIO will lead an IT team of 50 professionals and outsource suppliers. Reporting into the COO this is an outstanding opportunity to join a progressive financial organisation as the final decision maker for all technology issues and with significant business input.

The Company

This is an established International bank with over 75 years of trading history in Europe. Based in the City of London, the bank operates a number of complex trading and data processing systems and has an existing team of approx. 50 full time, contract and outsource personnel.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the senior management team you will take full responsibility for the entire IT function and will play a lead part in setting business strategy. This will include:

Day-to-day responsibility for your team and all systems development.
Defining a system integration strategy for a complex and disparate organisation.
Identifying appropriate technology solutions and conducting vendor selection, RFP and procurement negotiations.

The Candidate

You will currently be working at a senior level in IT management within the financial services sector. You will be seeking a senior directorship role within a top ten financial institution where you can contribute to the overall strategy of the organisation.

Your Credentials

A financial services pedigree is essential.
An exceptional communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
Experience of defining, scoping and implementing complex IT architecture and data processing systems.
Experience of motivating and managing a team of internal/external engineering personnel.
Engineering degree essential and a commercial qualification would be an advantage.
Management consultancy experience a distinct advantage
