Chief Executive Officer - Telecommunications

This successful publicly-listed wireless telecommunications manufacturing company was seeking a Chief Executive Officer to replace the incumbent who was due to retire.

The client is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of specialist wireless devices for the global mobile communications market. This includes the military, police, emergency services and transportation sectors.

The company has a world-wide distribution organisation with four regional offices.

Following a lengthy advertising and recruitment campaign over a period of many months, the client failed to find a suitable candidate. Technology Headhunters was retained and within six weeks TH was able to produce a short-list of four potential candidates.

Within a further three weeks one of the short-listed candidates was selected and subsequently confirmed his acceptance of the position.      

The successful candidate was a divisional director within a multi-national telecommunications manufacturing group. He had achieved an outstanding reputation within his existing organisation and was looking for a career move where he could ‘run his own show’.
